Our cultural events

For more than 30 years now, the Town of Belfort and its students have been organizing FIMU, the International University Music Festival. More than 1,700 amateur musicians and choir singers from 40 different countries perform each year over the course of five days. All musical genres are represented: classical, new music, jazz, actual music, brass bands, choirs, opera, world music, and the list goes on… The festival is a musical kaleidoscope of close to 200 free concerts given on 20 stages in the superb settings of Belfort’s old town and new town.
