We are in the year of our Lord 1700. On the orders of Louis XIV, Vauban has been working for decades to build an iron belt around the kingdom of France.
But the great project of the Fortification of Belfort, initiated in 1677, must be completed as soon as possible because war is about to break out again. However, the plans for this project have disappeared since the departure of the brilliant architect.
