Pendule Acoustique :
Pendule Acoustique is an immersive, modular installation project that creates a generative resonance between acoustics and gravity. Echoing Foucault's pendulum, this kinetic installation animates a living ecosystem in space and time.
It generates its own sound by electro-acoustic feedback through the acoustics of the site, and its movement from its own resonant frequency, from a position of immobility. Pendule Acoustique takes a physical theory and turns it into an artistic and sonic interpretation of gravity.
VirgileAbela
Virgile Abela explores "the worlds of sound" through time and its materials, in a cross-disciplinary way. Alongside Lucien Bertolina, he is developing the Euphonia creative studio in Marseille and assisting composer Luc Ferrari with the creation of "Archives Sauvée des eaux". Since 2009, he has been developing amplified devices and exploring feedback as an immersive, non-frontal soundscape.
Train Fantôme by Macula Nigra and Simon Poligné
The brainchild of visual artists and set designers Macula Nigra and Simon Poligné, Train Fantôme is a 3-dimensional luminescent installation. Packed with visual surprises, this model, with its multiple effects of colour, print and light, takes us back to a funfair full of surprises.
The piece's sensitive low-tech touch, coupled with the aesthetic and poetic flamboyance of its staging, transports us into a phantasmagorical world where this miniature ghost train circulates. Inspired as much by Daguerre's diorama as by the fairground world of the famous attraction of the same name, the installation invites spectators to contemplate this abundant, fantastic and moving optical theatre under UV light.
Plunged into the darkness, faced with this dazzling universe, everyone is tempted to film this fascinating microcosm. The physicality of this miniature funfair, captured in this way, evokes a new perception, oscillating between the real and the artificial, illusion and reality.
