The 26th Marathon VTT des Ballons will start from the village of Chaux (Territoire de Belfort).
It is organised by the Club Alpin de Belfort, which has 450 members.
The previous edition in 2022 attracted 450 participants.
The Marathon VTT des Ballons is a friendly, non-competitive sporting event. It is open to everyone, including electrically-assisted bicycles (VAE).
There will be 3 routes of varying degrees of difficulty. They will pass through some of the most beautiful natural sites in the Pays-sous-vosgien.
- Family route (25 km - 230 m ascent) around the Malsaucy lakes.
- Sporty route (40 km - 800 m ascent) with some technical sections and pretty singletracks.
- Expert route (65 km - 1500 m ascent) via the Ballon de Servance and the Planche des Belles Filles.
Registration is now open (reduced rates until 31/05/2025).

Opening hours
7.15am: Doors open and frame plates collected
8am to 11am: start of the family trail
8am to 10am: start of the sports course
8am to 9am: start of the expert course
3pm: closing of the 3 courses
