Le Horla
Le Horla
Details
Like a diary, Le Horla describes the anxieties and doubts of a man plagued by terrifying nightmares. Witness to strange phenomena, is this man sinking into madness or is he really being tormented by a fantastic invisible creature?
After working with Camille Trouvé & Brice Berthoud for several years, their partner Jonas Coutancier has decided to bring to the stage this masterpiece of fantasy written by Guy de Maupassant during the last years of his life. Combining the worlds of puppetry, theatre and dance, and mischievously poking fun at the optical effects and artifices of new magic, Jonas Coutancier has succeeded in taking us to the heart of his character's hallucinations, somewhere between the real and the unreal. So much so that we end up wondering who, the narrator or the audience, is in the grip of madness...
