La Vie Rêvée
La Vie Rêvée
Details
La Vie Rêvée is the story of a body, that of Kelly Ruisseau, who was quickly denied access to her dream: to be a dancer.
At the age of 13, during an entrance exam to the Conservatoire Supérieur de Danse, the final decision was made: too stocky, too muscular, not slender enough. So this is the story of a body that failed at a very young age. But it doesn't let on. When the verdict was announced, Kelly Ruisseau put away her tutu, her tights and her slippers, and put all her dreams in the wardrobe.
But ten years later, on the Franco-Swiss border, by the magic of chance, she pushed open the doors of a café-theatre, and it was then that she received a shock wave: in the theatre, you don't have to be short, tall, blonde or brunette, fat or thin. You can be anything. And what's more, you can have fun. It's the discovery of theatre made with bits of string, and which makes you laugh. And that's when a slightly unmentionable dream was born: to burn up the stage.
But was it really her dream, and above all, was it accessible?
