LA (NOUVELLE) SITUATION. JÉRUSALEM, PORTRAITS SENSIBLES
Details
In the spring of 2016, during a two-month stay in Jerusalem, director Bernard BLOCH, whose parents are Jewish (his father is from Germany, his mother from Mulhouse), set off to meet sixty inhabitants of all origins and faiths who share the sole common denominator of living in the holy city. The interviews he conducted served as the basis for the writing of the show, performed by nine actors. This plunge into the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict does not pass judgement, but offers a sensitive look at one of the most complex pages in our contemporary history. Re-commissioned by GRRRANIT SN in November 2024, this show will be adapted to be performed in a house in Belfort, allowing spectators to discover these theatrical accounts very close to the actors.
