CHRIST Jean-François ACORG

ACORG (ART ET CONNAISSANCE DE L'ORGUE ESPAGNOL À GRANDVILLARS) is once again inviting Ana AGUADO. She has already given a recital here on 27 September 2019, and at the time won the unanimous approval of a conquered audience: "a virtuoso artist, full of charm and poetry, but also with a marked temperament, well in tune with the instrument, the Spanish organist was keen to present the pieces on her programme in French, and said how proud she was to play in France on an instrument that was also Spanish, completely unexpected in France." (see ER of 2 October 2019) A. AGUADO studied organ with Roberto Fresco and Miguel del Barco, and piano with Aurora Dalleres at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Palencia. She then studied organ with Óscar Candendo at the Escuela Superior de Musica de Catalunya (ESMUC), and completed a thesis on Widor and the 19th-century French organ school under the direction of Luca Chiantore. At the same time she specialised in different styles of organ music with such great names as B Haas, O Latry, P Crivellaro, J-C Zehnder, D Roth, L-F Tagliavini, W Zerer, M Radulescu, L Lohmann, E Kooiman, A Cea Galán, E Belloti, J Martín Moro, B Leigthon, M Torrent y, J Laukvik. Following her training in Barcelona, she completed a master's degree in organ at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam under Jacques van Oortmerssen. She then went to France to study with Michel Bouvard and Jan Willem Jansen at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional (CRR) in Toulouse, where she was awarded the Prix François Vidal at the end of her course. She has given concerts at major music festivals (Quincena Musical de San Sebastián, Festival Internacional de Santander, Festival de Música Anciente de Barcelona, Semana de Música Sacra de Cuenca), both in Spain and abroad (France, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Romania and the Philippines). As a performer, she gives most of her concerts as a soloist, but she regularly collaborates with other groups, in duos with percussion, oboe, trombone, trumpet or saxophone, taking part in four-handed concerts, with vocal groups such as the RTVE Choir (Fauré Requiem), the Choir of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (Duruflé Requiem), the Schola Antiqua, or with orchestras such as the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra. Many of her concerts are broadcast by Radio Classique de RNE-Radio4 and Catalunya Música. She has also won prizes in a number of national competitions, including the "Permanent Competition of Young Musicians of Spain". She currently teaches organ at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de la Provincia de León.
