The diversity of the department‘s sites and landscapes makes it a playground of discovery that is both fun and enriching for the whole family. Here are just a few ideas for you and your children.

At this puppet theater, the "Une Poignée d’Images" company works to entertain adults as much as the children. There is no doubt that their many performances will make your soul smile and give you a taste of the world because for several years the company has been collaborating with French and foreign stage directors.

For more than 15 years, this departmental museum devoted to the environment has been addressing ecological issues. Every activity is an opportunity for exchange and dialogue between environmental specialists and a very broad swath of the general public, from the merely curious to informed activists.
Situated on the banks of Malsaucy Lake at the doorstep of the Ballons des Vosges Natural Park just outside Belfort, it is one of the most visited public sites in the department. From March to December it hosts free exhibits and activities for people of all ages where everyone is welcome.
Sur la base de loisirs
The Malsaucy site is dedicated to family leisure and discovery with many outdoor activities on offer.
This leisure centre proposes a different activity for every day of the week: swimming, beach games, miniature golf, exhibits, events, etc.
Meanwhile, the marina will introduce you to the joys of water sport on different types of boats and the nearby Véronne Lake is a delight for walkers and fishermen.

A trip to the Belfort Citadel carries off children and adults alike on an enchanting journey which mixes modern interest with historic heritage. The staging of the Grand Souterrain with spectacular special effects tells the history of Belfort by bringing to life figures who lived within the Citadel's walls. Children ages 6 to 12 will actively learn and have fun thanks to a quiz and their friend Max, a peregrine falcon. Fall under the spell of these walls as they recount the history of Belfort.

“Springtime Wanderings”, “Summer Festivals” and “Christmas Tours”...these are examples of the programmes arranged all year in Belfort proper and the Territoire de Belfort. There are always tours and activities sure to suit families: a Chinese lantern excursion, animal-themed tours, etc.

Bavilliers Aventure and Acropark are two sites offering exciting obstacle courses in the woods. Whether you are big or small, you will hop from tree to tree using a variety of hanging and swinging devices (monkey's bridges, rope bridges, swinging ropes, etc.) for a guaranteed adrenaline rush!
The Acro-Bulle is an inflatable ball in which one or two people can slide down shockingly steep grassy hills in complete safety.

Each year over Whit weekend, Belfort’s Old Town swarms with activity: three days of non-stop music, 3,000 musicians from around the globe, 15 concert stages in the City of the Lion and dozens of concerts—all for free! The International Festival of University Music is designed around a simple concept: free, open to all and for every taste!
